Considering the sensitivity of the region and the importance of terrorist incidents and the existing experiences of threats or its implementation, the need to address this issue in the field of water and sewage becomes more apparent. These threats can include missile and bombing threats to biochemical threats. In the meantime, all the efforts of the country’s water industry experts should be aimed at preventing serious damage or even reducing it as much as possible.<\/p>

Some of the measures in the design of explosion-proof buildings and the necessary forecasting from the perspective of architecture and facilities are to reduce the damage caused by explosion and fire. Some measures include monitoring activities on the operation of equipment and laboratories and refineries, which can be done by equipping these sensitive places with control devices. Some measures are also related to the quality of water, which is more sensitive, and in this regard, the use of accurate tools and smart tools can be mentioned to announce the danger and check the quality of water in terms of being healthy.<\/p>

What shows the importance of these studies is the growing importance of water supply, especially in crisis management, which can be important in crisis control and minimizing losses and damages. In addition to man-made threats caused by war and terrorist incidents, defense studies also include natural disasters.<\/p>

The solutions that are important for conducting passive defense studies of water transmission lines include the following:<\/h4>

Creating a circular connection in the transmission lines (like Qamar Beni Hashem project known as Tehran Ring)
Completing geographic information system data for use in critical situations
Planning to replace new pipes (correction of worn and weak network)
Identify low pressure points and consider protective measures
Environmental protection of pipelines and faucet basins
Use of pollution warning system (cws)<\/p>

The solutions that are important for conducting passive defense studies of storage tanks and stations of pumping stations and water wells include the following:<\/h4>

Creating a physical protection system by strengthening the surrounding walls, fences, fences and barbed wire.
Creating a smart physical protection system using an electro-fence system, security cameras with the ability to follow (tracing) and determine the authorized crossing lines (Line Crossing)
Creating intrusion detection systems
The use of firewalls and types of data encryption in the industrial automation network of these places<\/p>
